Dogma

Dogma is the Church's clear and binding teaching on the truths God has revealed. It is not a collection of opinions, but the settled profession of the faith handed down from the apostles — what we confess when we stand and say the Creed.

These truths concern God Himself, the person and work of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Church, and the last things. They are given so that every generation may know the same Lord, and so that the faith may be believed, lived, and handed on without confusion.
